Pulsar Agent 3.0: Smarter Conversations, Faster Access to Salesforce in the Field

Field teams need critical service data and instructions while working onsite without having to search through Salesforce menus and screens to find it. Sales reps, service technicians, and mobile workers rely on Pulsar Agent to get answers and complete updates using plain language, on-site and offline. Pulsar Agent 3.0 is now available, making those conversations faster and more accurate. This release improves how Pulsar Agent understands what users ask for, tracks on-screen context, handles how users reach it, and displays results.

What is Pulsar Agent?

Pulsar Agent is an AI assistant that can be added to Pulsar for Salesforce, that runs on mobile devices. It helps users open records, update fields, and find information using spoken or written requests, even when the device has no network connection.

How Does Pulsar Agent Understand Natural Language Requests?

Pulsar Agent understands the intent behind a request instead of requiring exact phrasing. It also uses the current screen as context, so a request like “edit it” applies to the record already open.

Can Field Teams Use Pulsar Agent Without an Internet Connection?

Yes. Pulsar Agent runs on the device, so users can ask questions, open records, and review insights while offline. Updates synchronize with Salesforce once the connection returns.

Improved Tools: Understand More, Type Less

Pulsar Agent 3.0 improves the logic behind every request, so users spend less time rephrasing and more time working.

Voice input now understands natural language more accurately, so users can speak the way they normally would instead of using set phrases. Pulsar Agent also handles vague terms better. If a user says “edit it,” Pulsar Agent assumes “it” refers to the current screen and opens the edit view for that record. Search now recognizes custom objects, so users can find the data specific to their org, not just standard Salesforce objects. The updates tool has also improved, so changes are applied to the correct fields.

Before this release, users often had to know exact object names or rephrase a request until it worked. Now, users get accurate results from natural, everyday language, which means faster answers during customer conversations and fewer repeated requests.

Administrators benefit too. Better field-matching on updates means fewer incorrect entries to clean up, and support teams field fewer questions about how to phrase a request.

Pulsar Agent’s AI runs on the device itself, not through a metered cloud API. Teams don’t pay per request or work within a fixed token allowance as usage grows. More users and more requests don’t translate into rising AI costs.

Improved Context Handling: Pulsar Agent Knows Where You Are

Knowing what record or screen a request applies to is central to how Pulsar Agent works, and this release makes that context easier to manage.

Pulsar Agent now assumes that a request applies to the current screen unless the user says otherwise. Pressing the Home icon clears that context and starts a new chat, giving users a clean slate whenever they need one.

Previously, users needed to specify the account or record in nearly every request, even when it was already visible on screen. That created extra typing and extra steps. With improved context handling, requests move faster because Pulsar Agent already knows what the user is looking at, and a single tap resets the conversation when it’s time to move to something new.

This also gives administrators more predictable behavior across the app, since context carries over only when it should.

Improved Navigation: Reach Pulsar Agent Without the Extra Steps

Pulsar Agent 3.0 adds a floating icon so users can open a chat in a single tap from anywhere in the app.

The icon can also be hidden, so it never blocks the screen when a user needs full visibility of a record or list view. Field teams no longer have to navigate to the bottom of the screen to start a conversation, and they can tuck the icon away when they need to focus on the data in front of them.

For administrators, this means a consistent, low-friction way for users across the org to reach Pulsar Agent, which supports adoption without additional training.

Improved Asset Insights Display: Read Results Where You Work

Asset Insights results now appear directly within the service appointment screen instead of being confined to the chat window. The larger display is easier to read, and it’s customizable to match your organization’s specific workflow.

Technicians reviewing service history no longer have to scroll through a small chat panel to find patterns or recommendations. Insights now show up clearly, in the same screen where the technician is already working. That means faster reviews and more confident on-site decisions, even without a network connection.

Administrators can customize the insights results display to fit their organization’s needs, so the information technicians see matches how the business actually operates.

Improved Knowledge Base Button for Smaller Screens

The Knowledge Base button now shrinks to an icon-only view on smaller screens, so it takes up less space without disappearing.

On phones and other compact devices, every bit of screen space matters. This update keeps the Knowledge Base accessible while giving users more room to view the record or list they’re working with.
