Now Available: Pulsar 16.0
July 21, 2025

We’re excited to announce Pulsar 16, our latest release packed with improvements. There are no new major features this round, but we’ve focused on enhancing stability, performance, and usability based on your feedback.
Critical Notes
- Sync limits: Pulsar now strictly enforces the pulsar.sync.initialFilterLimit (default 50,000 records) per object, including during relationship syncs.
- Salesforce Field Service users must install the latest Pulsar FSL file to maintain compatibility.
Pulsar 16.0 Highlights
The sync engine received some updates to keep users working efficiently. Metadata now refreshes more intelligently during the initial sync, with improvements to UI update timing during single-object syncs. We’ve fixed specific issues with ContentDocumentLink synchronization and enhanced conflict handling in rare edge cases. Logging for configuration syncs is now more detailed to help admins with troubleshooting. Finally, we’ve ensured that the sync progress bar remains visible during page navigation so users can be more informed.
Several user interface updates enhance usability. On Android, the keyboard no longer hides text fields. Fields such as Name and Owner/User now display correctly in Chatter attachments, improving your team’s communication. We’ve added batch delete to related-list views and fixed the app icon’s display in the Windows taskbar. Pulsar now handles list view refreshes more effectively after a PSL delete action. Users will also notice clearer visual indicators showing whether files are loaded for offline access, and reference fields in list views and related lists are now searchable.
Salesforce Field Service users will see improved behavior in several areas. Chatter comments now display in the correct order and by most recent activity. The map loader no longer interferes with LBM actions, and the email contact button now functions correctly. The calendar has been upgraded with week and month views that show appointment lists more clearly, and resource absences can now display color indicators based on record type. Files can be shown directly in the service appointment overview screen and edit/delete buttons for absences can now be hidden based on permissions. We also added support for work-week views.
Under the hood, some code cleanup was performed, but users won’t see any change in functionality or interface behavior as a result. For a complete list of updates for this release, read the Pulsar 16.0 release notes.
Summary
Pulsar 16 is all about delivering a tighter, more reliable user experience. With stricter sync limits, improved metadata sync, enhanced logging, and key UI enhancements, particularly for Salesforce Field Service, this release clears the path for further refinement of your mobile workflows. As always, SFS users should update to the new Pulsar FSL file.
